Job summary

Cengage, a global edtech company, is seeking a Field Sales Consultant K12 for Minnesota (Remote). You will engage in sales calls, present solutions, and drive new business to grow your territory.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years in teaching or education sales, a proven sales growth record, and strong communication. You'll use CRM systems and Microsoft Office, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree – minimum 2 years teaching and education sales preferred.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement performance.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish, cultivate and maintain effective working relationship with current and prospective customers, internal business partners, colleagues, and management.
• Documented territory management and organizational skills.
• Strong competency in the use of business technologies, multiple applications, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to transport materials to customer locations and lift 50 lbs unaided.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.
