Job summary

Affirm is hiring an Analyst I to learn consumer lending fundamentals while performing scoped analytic tasks under guidance from senior analysts. You will leverage advanced data analytics to help optimize business strategies and monitor portfolio performance, building a strong technical foundation and adapting to market changes with modern AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in an analytically-driven role or internships in consumer lending/fintech preferred.
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with data mining, data visualization, and foundational statistical modeling.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and support strategy to optimize product, risk, or growth across geographies.
• Monitor portfolio health by tracking performance metrics and macro trends; flag risks to senior team.
• Write clean SQL and Python to build scalable reporting and support deployment of ML and risk models.
