Job summary

Software People, Inc. seeks a seasoned Technical Writer to create and maintain project artifacts in a fast-paced IT environment. You will collaborate with Project Directors, Developers, Analysts, and SMEs to document goals, designs, and processes for internal teams and external vendors.

Remote for GA/SC candidates; Clemson, SC on-site option. The role requires 5+ years IT writing, strong MS Office/SharePoint skills, and the ability to produce clear, branded documents and visuals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in IT including experience in a position requiring development of structured written materials and visual aids
• 3+ years of technical writing experience
• Ability to write, edit, and prepare graphic presentations of technical information for both technical and business personnel
• 3+ years of experience with MS SharePoint application
• Advanced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and working with templates and style guidelines for branding consistency
• Experience in writing Advanced Planning Documents and/or Request For Proposals
• Understanding of LEAN / Agile development style
• Experience with BizAgi

Responsibilities

• Work with Business Analyst/SMEs to understand project goals and create deliverables and supporting docs
• Recommend deliverables from analysis and design discussions
• Collaborate with technical staff to simplify deliverables
• Organize and write supporting documents as needed
• Select visuals to enhance user understanding
• Revise documents as issues arise
• Maintain project SharePoint and document repository
