Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to support IT/SharePoint documentation from a remote home-based position operating out of Columbia, SC. You will develop structured technical materials, templates, and visuals, collaborating with project teams, analysts, and vendors to ensure clarity and alignment with branding guidelines.

The role requires 5+ years in IT writing, 3+ years in technical writing, and deep SharePoint/MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

5+ years of IT experience developing structured written materials and visuals.
3+ years of technical writing experience.
Ability to write, edit, and prepare graphic presentations for technical and business audiences.
3+ years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Experience with templates and style guidelines for branding consistency.

Responsibilities

Work with analysts and SMEs to understand project goals and create deliverables.
Provide recommendations on deliverables from analysis and design discussions.
Produce clear, structured documentation and visual aids for both technical and non-technical readers.
Organize and maintain SharePoint and other document repositories.
Select figures and diagrams to enhance user understanding; revise as issues arise.
Coordinate with multiple teams and vendors to deliver documentation on time.
