Job summary

Halo Technical Solutions Global is offering a paid IT Support Specialist Intern role focused on remote, hands-on tech support across teams. You will handle user access, software deployment, onboarding/offboarding, and contribute to process improvements under guidance from the COO.

This six-month term requires 30–40 hours per week, with two defined projects and solid opportunities to learn Windows, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, SharePoint, and IT operations in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework, training, or interest in IT or related field; no full-time IT experience required.
• Foundational ability to troubleshoot Windows devices and learn new support workflows.
• Basic understanding of user accounts, password/MFA issues, access permissions, and escalation practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID or similar identity tools is beneficial.
• Working familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office).
• Basic proficiency with Excel and data analysis; interested in process mapping, requirements gathering.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support via tickets, chat, email, phone, and remote tools.
• Troubleshoot login, MFA, and access issues in Microsoft Entra ID and related systems.
• Support access to SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft 365, Slack, Google Workspace.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot software on Windows 11 devices.
• Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and device prep.
• Document steps and create knowledge base articles and SOPs.
• Identify recurring issues and help improve support checklists and processes.
• Gather business requirements and map processes for improvement.
• Prepare process maps, requirements, dashboards, and system comparisons for management.
• Complete two projects per six-month term; present to COO.
• Provide regular updates and escalate blockers.
