Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in IT, information systems, or related field; not required to have full-time IT experience.
• Foundational ability to troubleshoot Windows devices and learn new applications and workflows.
• Basic understanding of user accounts, password/MFA issues, access permissions, and escalation practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID or similar identity tools is beneficial.
• Working familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office desktop apps.
• Basic proficiency with Excel or comparable spreadsheet tools and an interest in data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document work and explain findings to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently during remote hours and commit to 30–40 hours per week for six months.
• Willingness to take direction from COO and deliver two projects per six-month term.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support via tickets, chat, email, phone, and remote tools.
• Troubleshoot password, MFA, login, and account access issues in Microsoft Entra ID and related systems.
• Support user access to SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft 365, Slack, Google Workspace, and approved apps.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot approved software on Windows 11 devices.
• Assist with IT onboarding/offboarding, including account setup and device preparation.
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, escalation notes, and repeatable procedures.
• Identify recurring issues and help improve support checklists and knowledge base articles.
• Gather business requirements by meeting with stakeholders and documenting needs and outcomes.
• Perform business and systems analysis, including process mapping, data quality reviews, and reporting needs.
• Prepare process maps, requirements summaries, spreadsheets, dashboards, and recommendations for management.
• Complete two defined projects per term with milestones and final presentation to COO.
• Provide regular project updates and escalate blockers when needed.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by COO.
