Job summary

Advocate Health IT Internship offers practical work experiences in HRIS and IT for college students. The intern supports IT operations, configuration, and service delivery while learning from a collaborative team in a fully remote setting.

Open to enrollees in their junior or senior year; candidates should have strong Excel skills, good communication, and attention to detail. The program runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as Incoming Junior, or Senior at an accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.
• Integrity, maturity, dependability and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Research unusual bugs or issues and assist IT troubleshooting.
• Support IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and systems.
• Assist in conversions, updates, and application recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot printers, computers, and servers.
• Run software updates and backups.
• Research hosting options and report pricing.
• Assist with development of desktops, servers or applications.
• Record interactions in the call tracking system and meet KPI.
• Provide initial support and resolve basic LAN/WAN software issues.
• Review data integrity and assist in improving systems.
