Job summary

Advocate Health is offering an IT Internship in the People & Culture Workforce Development department. The role is remote from home for residents in NV and other approved states, with a 40-hour work week during May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027.

Interns will assist HRIS/IT activities, observe IT configurations, support applications, and help maintain systems. A junior or senior undergraduate student with a 2.5 GPA or higher is expected, with strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as incoming junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.

Responsibilities

• Research unusual bugs or issues the company encounters.
• Support IT team in maintenance of hardware, software and other systems.
• Assist more experienced analysts in successful conversions, updates, and recovery procedures.
• Assist with hardware functionality improvements and server/applications assessments.
• Troubleshoot issues with printers, computers, and servers.
• Run software updates and backups when requested.
• Research hosting options and report pricing and options to supervisors.
• Participate in development of new desktops, servers or applications.
• Assist with call tracking system and record interactions with customers while meeting KPI.
• Provide initial support troubleshooting and resolve basic LAN/WAN software issues.
