Job summary

Advocate Health is offering an IT Internship within the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and IT teams. The internship runs May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday during business hours.

This is a remote, work-from-home position available to residents of eligible states, including Texas. Interns will gain practical IT experience across configuration, deployment, support, and maintenance of applications to meet organizational needs, acting as a liaison

Qualifications

Current enrollment as a junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
GPA of at least 2.5.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with Excel.
Interest in HRIS/IT internship role.

Responsibilities

Research unusual bugs or issues the company encounters.
Support IT team in maintenance of hardware, software and other systems.
Assist with deployments, updates and recovery procedures for applications.
Troubleshoot equipment such as printers, computers, and servers.
Run software updates and backups when requested.
Research hosting options and report pricing and options to supervisors.
Participate in developing desktops, servers or applications.
Assist with the call tracking system and document customer interactions and KPI.
Provide initial support troubleshooting and resolve basic problems related to LAN/WAN and desktops.
