Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Helpdesk Technician for the Legacy Management Contract in Morgantown, WV and remote support. The role involves assisting a geographically distributed user base with PC hardware, software, and network issues, documenting actions, and delivering timely solutions.

The ideal candidate may have a Bachelor’s degree and up to two years of helpdesk experience; certifications are a plus. This full-time position requires the ability to obtain facility credentials and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business, or related field; experience in lieu of education considered.
• No minimum experience; 2 years of Helpdesk experience preferred.
• No professional certification required; certifications like Microsoft, Adobe, CompTIA A+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support for a wide range of technology services to a dispersed user population.
• Offer telephone, email, and in-person support; document activity in ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot PC hardware, software, and network issues; provide end-user training.
• Collaborate with IT staff and manage on-site and remote support tasks.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain workstation software/hardware and peripherals.
• Conduct on-site and remote analysis to diagnose and resolve complex PC issues.
