Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking an IP Docket Specialist to monitor shared mailboxes and docket items promptly using IP docketing software. The role reports to the Senior IP Docket Manager and supports the Docket Team on various projects. Remote work is possible across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of IP docketing experience, a 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate, and strong attention to detail with proficiency in MS Office and Excel.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate required; 4-year degree preferred in related field.
• 3-5 years of IP docketing experience with PattsyWave or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of patent and trademark prosecution processes and IP workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and internet research; ability to work with large Excel spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Docket for designated assignment groups across offices and shared mailboxes, ensuring deadlines are set and docketed.
• Review USPTO and foreign filings and verify accuracy via official sites.
• Create, review, and distribute accurate matter reports.
• Respond to requests from timekeepers regarding docketed dates and regulations.
• Collaborate with the IP Docket Manager to improve processes.
• Assist with onboarding of portfolios and special docketing projects.
