Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking an IP Docket Specialist to manage docketing for designated groups across multiple offices. You will review filings, identify deadlines, and maintain accurate timekeeper details in the IP docketing system.

The role requires a two-year degree or paralegal certificate, 3–5 years of IP docketing experience, and proficiency with PattsyWave, MS Office, and internet research. Remote work available; opportunity to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate required; 4-year degree preferred.
• 3–5 years IP docketing experience with PattsyWave proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of patent and trademark prosecution processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and internet research; ability to handle large Excel sheets.

Responsibilities

• Docket for designated groups across offices and shared mailboxes, ensuring deadlines are identified and docketed.
• Create, review, and distribute accurate matter reports.
• Respond to requests from timekeepers and staff regarding docketed dates and rules.
• Collaborate with the IP Docket Manager to improve docketing practices and processes.
• Process abandoned and transferred matters and assist with onboarding portfolios.
• Support special projects and stay current with US and foreign filing regulations.
