Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Interim Fractional Assistant Controller to provide accounting leadership during a temporary leave. This fully remote role collaborates across US and European time zones and lasts about 4 to 6 months.

Responsibilities include leading month-end close, preparing entries and reconciliations, consolidations, and supporting year-end and statutory reporting. Requires US GAAP expertise, multi-entity experience, and strong automation skills.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• Experience owning month-end close and financial statement prep.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge in multi-entity consolidations.
• Experience overseeing outsourced accounting and coordinating international teams.
• Proficient in spreadsheets, ERP systems, and workflow automation.

Aufgaben

• Lead the month-end close across domestic and international entities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Produce consolidated financial statements and reporting packages.
• Manage foreign currency translation and intercompany activity.
• Coordinate with outsourced accounting resources and international advisors.
• Support year-end close and statutory reporting requirements.
• Provide financial analysis to leadership and assess business changes.
• Strengthen controls, processes, and documentation for continuity.
