Job summary

Kin Insurance seeks an Insurance Counsel - Forms to draft policy language for auto and property forms as Kin expands into new states and products. You will anchor one line of business, advise on coverage interpretation, and lead form packages from research to filing-ready status.

You will review regulator objections, maintain base forms, and collaborate with Claims, Product, and Customer Experience to ensure regulatory compliance and clear policy wording.

Qualifications

• JD required with strong drafting experience.
• 5+ years of policy form drafting.
• Experience drafting personal lines policy forms for multiple states.
• Ability to read state statutes and regulations and translate to policy language.
• Experience drafting regulator responses to form objections.

Responsibilities

• Research state statutes/regulations and translate into compliant policy wording.
• Draft responses to regulator objections and advocate with regulators.
• Advise internal partners on coverage interpretation and form wording.
• Draft new state and product forms packages ready for filing.
• Perform first-pass legal review of drafted forms and escalate novel questions.
• Maintain and update forms packages for changes in statutes and DOI bulletins.
