Job summary

MEDHOST is seeking an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. The role requires learning multiple hospital systems, researching complex claims, and working with third-party payors to obtain needed information—while leveraging AI-enabled tools in a fully remote US setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes impacting insurance reimbursements.
• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
• Proficiency with office software and customer service.
• 3+ years' experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on hospital accounts to verify insurance payments and rebill as needed.
• Handle 40–50 accounts per workday for assigned payors.
• Gather demographic/clinical information and update systems.
• Identify and prepare less complex claims for reconsiderations.
• Provide training for new hires and assist less experienced staff.
• Maintain QA processes and comply with regulations.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve project issues.
• Respond to emails and calls promptly.
