Job summary

MEDHOST is seeking an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. This remote role welcomes candidates across the United States and emphasizes collaboration, research, and use of AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities include following up on insurance payments, rebilling as needed, and assisting with complex cases and training.

Qualifications

• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
• 3+ years' experience in related field.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with AI-enabled tools and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Timely follow-up on insurance balances and research as needed.
• Handle 40–50 accounts per workday for assigned payor(s).
• Gather patient demographics and insurance information for claim resolution.
• Identify and prepare less complex claims for reconsiderations/appeals.
• Deliver education and training to new hires and assist teammates.
• Research accounts and route through appropriate workflows.
• Review adjustments per payor/client guidelines.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve issues and meet contractual obligations.
• Maintain MEDHOST Quality Management System compliance.
