This remote role welcomes candidates nationwide in the United States and requires collaboration with payors to obtain necessary information for resolution.

The role emphasizes learning multiple hospital systems, performing research, and handling 40–50 accounts per day while maintaining HIPAA and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in related field.
• High School or equivalent diploma required.
• Sufficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes impacting insurance reimbursements.
• Knowledge of insurance follow-up processes and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts.
• Learn multiple hospital systems and conduct research analyses.
• Work with third-party payors to answer questions and obtain information for resolving unpaid claims.
• Follow up on 40–50 accounts per workday for assigned payor(s).
• Gather demographics, clinical information, authorizations, and insurance data to pay outstanding claims.
• Identify and prepare less complex claims for reconsiderations and appeals.
• Deliver training for new hires and assist less experienced reps.
• Route accounts through appropriate workflows and document actions.
