Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Technical Service Specialist to support Midlands from United Kingdom. You will handle installations, deinstallations, repairs and provide basic training to customers and Abbott ambassadors.

Responsibilities include PM activities, site inspections for new contracts, instrument installation, IQOQ, customer reviews, and post-install trainings. Requires engineering/medical tech background and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Engineering degree in medical/electrical/mechanical fields preferred.
• Proven track record in similar role with references.
• Excellent product and industry knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform planned maintenance (PM) activities.
• Conduct site inspections for new contracts or tender prep and design for installations.
• Install instruments, AbbottLink, and perform deinstallations.
• Perform IQOQ procedures during and after installation.
• Assist with customer business reviews.
• Schedule and document hardware and software updates (TSBs).
• Deliver basic operator trainings post install or upgrade.
• Provide coaching and training to other Techncial Service Specialists.
