Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an instructional designer to create and maintain dynamic eLearning, instructor-led, blended, or performance-support training solutions for Ryder employees in Des Moines, IA.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts, develop objectives, and apply best practices in adult learning to deliver impactful training. Responsibilities include designing learning content and assessments, proposing project plans, and ensuring solutions meet goals and timelines while staying

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years equivalent experience in designing and developing e-learning, instructor-led, blended or performance-support training materials/solutions.
• Master's degree preferred in related field.
• 5+ years in education or business environments.
• 3+ years designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions and producing e-learning materials, with Articulate 360 Suite.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Knowledge of Storyline and other authoring tools.
• Experience working with clients and subject matter experts to develop training strategies and solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Creates learning content and testing aligned with Ryder’s goals and competencies.
• Consults with subject matter experts to develop objectives and instructional strategies.
• Designs and develops learning project proposals.
• Ensures instructional design solutions meet objectives and outcomes; communicates ideas effectively.
• Stays current on trends in learning methods and applies best practices.
