Job summary

McGraw Hill is seeking a Manager, Instructional Design for K-5 ELA to lead a remote team nationwide. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
• 1+ years of management experience with direct reports.
• Instructional Design expertise related to research, theory, and application in the field of education.
• Broad experience and proficiency in various authoring tools.
• Experience working with multiple LMSs.
• Experience managing a team responsible for creating interactive materials, multimedia, and learning games in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing group of Supervisors and Instructional Designers, coaching and onboarding new hires.
• Work at the project team level in an agile structure to orchestrate work for several delivery teams.
• Collaborate with product management, SMEs, visual designers, PM, marketing, and engineering to define holistic print and digital experiences for ELA.
• Lead a team to execute on new and updated digital programs, focused on teacher- and student-facing activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with senior leaders across functions and build consensus on new ideas.
• Make decisions guided by resource availability and scope; manage operational initiatives for tactical results.
• Use external perspectives to improve products and services and articulate customer problems to solve.
• Generate creative solutions by bringing talent together and exploring new ideas.
