McGraw Hill is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer for Grades 6-12 ELA to design high-quality digital learning experiences used by millions of students and educators. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead design rounds, and ensure accessibility and instructional soundness throughout the product development lifecycle.

The role is remote in the United States with a fixed term through August 2027.

Competenze

• Experience designing digital learning experiences and curricula.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG/UDL) and inclusive design.
• Proficiency with Agile workflows and sprint-based iteration.
• Ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving with product, UX, and engineering teams.

• Design digital curriculum using UbD, backward design, and design thinking.
• Develop prototypes, POCs, and digital content tools with SMEs and tech support.
• Lead manuscript reviews, storyboarding, and build rounds.
• Write clear, user-centered product requirement documents.
• Apply accessibility best practices in content and tools.
• Collaborate with content, UX, tech, engineering, and product teams to ensure engaging, instructionally sound experiences.
• Support Agile product development through iterative feedback and sprints.
• Translate instructional needs into technical requirements for tool enhancements.
• Provide mentorship to other instructional designers and new team members.
• Act as a point of contact for vendors and provide guidance and decisions.
• Create and maintain documentation for workflows and guidelines.
• Identify and scale novel digital learning approaches with measurable value.
