Job summary

McGraw Hill seeks a Manager, Instructional Design K-5 ELA to lead a growing team of Supervisors and Instructional Designers, coaching and onboarding new hires within an agile delivery environment.

You will collaborate with product management, subject matter experts, visual designers, project management, marketing, and engineering to design new holistic experiences for print and digital ELA offerings, guiding strategy and delivering teacher- and student-facing activities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of management experience with direct reports.
• Instructional Design expertise related to research, theory, and application in the field of education.
• Broad experience and proficiency in various authoring tools.
• Experience working with multiple LMSs.
• Experience managing a team responsible for the creation of interactive materials, multimedia, and learning games in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a growing group of Supervisors and Instructional Designers, including coaching and onboarding new hires.
• Work in an agile structure to orchestrate work for several delivery teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define holistic experiences for the ELA program (print and digital).
• Lead a team to build new and updated digital programs focused on teacher- and student-facing activities.
• Maintain relationships with senior leaders and peers across functions to build consensus on new ideas.
