Job summary

McGraw Hill is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer for Grades 6-12 ELA to design digital curricula, collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams, and lead development from concept to implementation.

You will mentor junior designers, create accessible content, and contribute to agile workflows across the product lifecycle in a remote, nationwide position through August 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field.
• Experience designing for digital platforms and creating learning experiences with authoring tools, LMS, and CMS.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and universal design for learning (UDL).
• Proficiency with Agile workflows and collaborative team environments.

Responsibilities

• Design digital curriculum using UbD, backward design, and design thinking principles.
• Develop prototypes, POCs, and digital content tools with SMEs and technical support.
• Lead build rounds, manuscript reviews, and storyboarding during development.
• Write and maintain clear, user-centered product requirement documents.
• Apply accessibility best practices and design accessible content and tools.
