Job summary

Lumen is hiring an Account Manager II, Desk Based, to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth across an assigned territory. You will use consultative discovery to understand customer needs, connect priorities to Lumen solutions, and communicate clear business value.

This is a remote, work-from-home role with schedule 8am–5pm in your time zone. You will sell across networking, cloud, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, managed services, AI and related technology needs, collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of sales experience in technology or related services.
• Experience developing new business opportunities and managing relationships.
• Proven desk-based, inside or outside sales with quota achievement.
• Strong prospecting, relationship-building, presentation and closing skills.
• Ability to conduct virtual discovery calls and present to customers.

Responsibilities

• Desk-based prospecting, selling and account management into assigned customers.
• Meet monthly sales quotas and drive revenue growth.
• Provide strong value propositions via consultative and transactional selling.
• Qualify leads through calls, emails, social media and campaigns.
• Prepare agendas, lead customer meetings and identify opportunities.
• Engage internal resources to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Leverage the sales ecosystem to drive high-impact opportunities.
• Move opportunities through the sales cycle to closing.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce notes and account plans.
• Provide activity reports and forecast monthly sales volume.
