Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking three full-time Inpatient Facility Medical Records Technician (MRT) Coders to provide remote services to the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland, OH. MRT Coders must be efficient, motivated, and focused on patient care with our Veteran population, delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Qualifications include 2 years VA coding experience and current coding certification (AHIMA or AAPC).

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of continuous professional coding experience in a VA facility.
• Must have 2 years of experience in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Completed the baseline ICD-10 requirements.
• One current coding certification (AHIMA or AAPC)

Responsibilities

• Apply coding conventions across inpatient, outpatient, professional and surgical encounters.
• Query providers and resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Analyze health records to identify diagnoses and procedures and evaluate documentation adequacy.
• Code across major inpatient, outpatient, and surgical specialties.
• Meet or exceed 3 inpatient PTFs per day.
