Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC seeks Medical Records Technicians (Coders) to support the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Cleveland, OH. This primarily remote role requires meeting coding targets and adhering to VA/HIM standards.

Ideal candidates hold AHIMA or AAPC credentials with 2+ years VA coding experience, proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, and E/M guidelines, and are comfortable with provider queries and documentation reviews.

Qualifications

• Active credential from AHIMA or AAPC must remain active throughout contract performance.
• Minimum of two years of continuous coding experience in a VA Medical Center or equivalent.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M coding guidelines.
• Familiarity with provider query processes and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient, outpatient, surgery, prosthetics, diagnostic testing, endoscopy, and professional services encounters.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS and E/M codes.
• Ensure accurate code assignment, sequencing and documentation support.
• Review medical records for completeness and accuracy of provider documentation.
• Submit compliant provider queries when documentation is incomplete or ambiguous.
• Maintain coding accuracy and participate in audits and improvement activities.
