Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in an Academic Medical Center with Inpatient Coding.
• Current CCS, CIC, RHIA, or RHIT certification required.
• Excellent computer and communication skills for provider interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to complex inpatient visit types.
• Collaborate with CDI regarding MS or APR DRG and comorbidity diagnoses.
• Educate on regulatory guidelines, Coding Clinics and ICD-10 coding conventions.
