Job summary

Signature Performance offers a remote-based Inpatient Medical Coder role, focusing on ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding and ICD-10-PCS procedure coding for complex inpatient admissions. You will apply anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines to ensure accurate, compliant coding.

The position involves collaboration with CDI, use of 3M 360 CAC, and adherence to official guidelines to support proper reimbursement. A minimum of three years in an Academic Medical Center is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' inpatient coding experience in an Academic Medical Center.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding guidelines and conventions.
• Excellent computer and communication skills for provider and staff interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for complex inpatient discharges.
• Determine POA values for secondary diagnoses for quality metrics.
• Review provider notes and CDI input to ensure accurate coding and appealing when needed.
