Qualifications

• Active RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC-H credentials; CCS preferred.
• At least 2 years inpatient facility coding experience with ICD-10-PCS and DRG assignment.
• U.S. citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation and working securely from home.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient records and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG codes remotely.
• Support inpatient coding operations for Veterans Affairs medical centers nationwide.
• Respond to challenged records and denials with appropriate coding references.
