Job summary

Candidates must pass IP/OP assessment tests to be considered. System proficiency with Cerner, PowerChart, 3M, and EPIC is essential, and immediate start dates are available.

Qualifications

• IP PCS coding experience of 5+ years is required.
• CCS certification is required.
• Remote US-based role with weekday, full-time schedule.
• System experience includes Cerner, PowerChart, 3M and EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Examine the complete medical record to determine principal and secondary diagnoses, procedures, and complications.
• Accurately sequence diagnoses and procedures, maintaining high accuracy.
• Strive to obtain optimal DRG assignments on coded records with system assistance.
• Demonstrate consistent performance, productivity, and quality.
• Hold accounts when more information is needed for accurate coding and coordinate with staff.
• Regularly review coding literature and stay current with guidelines, sharing knowledge.
• Complete assignments as directed by management with reliability.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities.
• Work as part of a team to meet department and client goals.
• Perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
