Pena4 Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder (CCS certified) for a 100% remote, full-time role. The candidate must have at least 5 years IP PCS coding experience and CCS certification, with 3+ years OP coding preferred.

The position uses Cerner, PowerChart, 3M and EPIC systems and requires passing coding assessments prior to consideration. Typical duties include reviewing records to determine principal/secondary diagnoses and procedures, ensuring accurate DRG assignments, and maintaining

Responsabilidades

• Examine complete medical records to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence diagnoses and procedures with goal of 95% accuracy.
• Aim for optimal DRG assignments with computer-assisted coding.
• Maintain performance, productivity, and quality.
• Request additional information when needed for accurate coding/DRG.
• Stay current with coding guidelines and share updates with team.
• Complete assignments as directed by management.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
• Collaborate with team to meet department and client goals.
• Perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
