Qualifications

• 5+ years of IP PCS coding experience required.
• 3+ years OP coding experience preferred.
• CCS certificate required for this role.
• W2 regular employment; full-time hours and immediate start are expected.

Responsibilities

• Examine the complete medical record to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence diagnoses and procedures to optimize DRG assignments.
• Aim for high accuracy and optimal DRG outcomes with system support.
• Maintain consistent productivity and quality levels in coding work.
• Request additional information from staff when needed for accurate coding.
• Stay current with coding guidelines and share updates with colleagues.
• Complete assignments as directed by management and meet deadlines.
• Pursue continuing education to enhance coding proficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to meet department and client goals.
• Undertake related duties or special projects as assigned.
