This position is fully remote with a flexible schedule, and may include PRN support for IA IP auditing; spinal experience is a plus, with an expected 20 hours per week. You will work with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs, maintaining high DRG accuracy, and delivering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS certification required; RHIA/RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient facility coding audits per scope of work using MS DRG or APR DRGs.
• Provides clear rationale with references and location of documentation.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and turnaround time.
• Educates coders through the auditing process.
• Upholds AHIMA code of ethics.
