Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Inpatient Coding Auditor to ensure accurate, quality, and compliant inpatient facility coding through prebill and retrospective audits. The role supports coding integrity and education within the HIM Coders team, with remote work eligibility.

The ideal candidate has inpatient coding auditing or DRG validation experience, professional certifications (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/CIC), and the ability to work independently in a remote or partly remote environment across multiple

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CIC certification required
• HFMA CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire
• Experience in inpatient facility coding auditing or DRG validation

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient coding quality reviews and audits
• Performs peer reviews
• Communicates with other teams to resolve coding issues
• Responds to coding questions from staff
• Initiates rebilling per policy on special projects
• Trials tip sheets and training and provides feedback
• Maintains productivity and accuracy standards
• Reviews data quality standards and coding guidelines
