Datavant seeks an Inpatient Auditing Specialist to lead inpatient facility coding audits, explain changes with detailed rationale, and stay current with regulatory updates. The role is fully remote with a flexible schedule, offering PRN support and potential 20 hours/week.

Affording 1,000 sign-on bonus, this position emphasizes accuracy, education, and professional integrity. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in inpatient coding/auditing, CCS certification, and proficiency with Epic and Cerner

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS required; RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient facility coding audits according to scope of work for onboarding, focused reviews or SLAs.
• Provides concise rationale with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to optimize workflow.
• Provides coder education through auditing processes.
• Adheres to AHIMA code of ethics.
• Demonstrates customer-service focus, professionalism, flexibility and dependability.
• Exhibits high complexity decision making and strong organizational skills.
