Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote role with flexible scheduling. You will assign ICD-10 codes, abstract records, and audit coders while upholding 95% accuracy and productivity targets. The team collaborates to drive high-quality data for healthcare clients.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of inpatient coding experience and AHIMA credentials. Competitive pay, benefits, and education stipends are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years recent inpatient coding facility experience
• CCS/RHIT/RHIA preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS
• Abstract codes from patient records with precision
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, management and hospital staff
