This fully remote role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to impact documentation quality and reimbursement. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of recent inpatient coding experience, CCS/RHIT/RHIA preferred, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient coding facility experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Sequence and abstract codes from patient records with precision.
• Oversee Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks.
• Communicate with colleagues, management, and hospital staff.
