Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join our remote team. You will assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes, ensure accurate sequencing, and oversee coding quality while maintaining productivity standards. Strong communication with management and hospital staff is essential.

The role offers a fully remote, flexible schedule with a focus on high accuracy and collaboration in healthcare data solutions. Ideal candidates have 3+ years inpatient coding experience and AHIMA/AAPC credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding facility experience.
• AHIMA/AAPC certification preferred (CCS/RHIT/RHIA) and AHIMA/AAPC certs favored.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS.
• Accurately sequence and abstract codes from patient records with precision.
• Audit the work of Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks.
• Foster professional communication with colleagues and hospital staff regarding clinical and reimbursement issues.
