Datavant seeks experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote role. The position emphasizes strict coding accuracy, adherence to ICD-10-CM/PCS, and supervision of junior coders where applicable.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years inpatient coding experience, AHIMA credentials, and strong communication skills. Flexible schedule and remote work enable collaboration with healthcare clients from any location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient coding experience in a healthcare facility.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA credential preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes from patient records.
• Audit and supervise Level 1 & 2 Coders when applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement and resolve coding issues.
• Maintain a 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
• Meet site productivity benchmarks and communicate with staff.
