Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Inpatient Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for acute care inpatient, rehabilitation, swing bed and LTACH services. You will query providers, resolve edits, and analyze documentation to ensure accurate coding in a collaborative hospital setting.

The role emphasizes coding accuracy, adherence to Official Coding Guidelines, and ongoing professional development, including mentorship to junior coders and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for inpatient acute care.
• Knowledge of documentation improvement and coding guidelines.
• Ability to mentor and train coders.

Responsabilités

• Codes complex diseases, procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Queries providers to improve documentation and to demonstrate severity of illness.
• Assigns MS-DRG and APR-DRG per regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborates with clinical documentation integrity and revenue teams to ensure documentation accuracy.
• Mentors and trains coders and ensures coding quality and productivity.
