Qualifications

• Must have HC terminology knowledge and coding education.
• Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management or Medical Records required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Codes ICD-10-CM/PCS for inpatient services including LTACH.
• Queries providers per Official Query Guidelines to improve documentation.
• Mentors and trains coders and ensures coding quality and productivity.
