Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote role with a flexible schedule. The position emphasizes accuracy in ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, compliance with documentation, and leadership of coding staff. Prior inpatient facility experience and AHIMA credentials are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient coding facility experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Sequence and abstract medical codes from patient records with precision.
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain an overall 95% coding accuracy rate and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks.
• Foster professional communication with colleagues and hospital staff.
