Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join a remote-enabled team. The role focuses on assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, auditing coder work, and driving documentation improvements while maintaining high accuracy and productivity.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of inpatient coding experience and credentials such as CCS/RHIT/RHIA. This fully remote position offers flexible scheduling and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient coding experience
• CCS/RHIT/RHIA credentials preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes from patient records
• Ensure correct sequence and abstract coding per documentation
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders when applicable
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks
• Communicate professionally with clinicians and hospital staff
