Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join a fully remote team. The role emphasizes high attention to detail and deep medical terminology knowledge, with flexibility in scheduling and a focus on healthcare data solutions.

You will assign and audit ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, drive documentation improvements, and ensure high accuracy rates while collaborating with hospital staff and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient coding experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes from patient records.
• Sequence and abstract codes with accuracy.
• Audit and oversee Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and MS-DRG accuracy.
