Job summary

Datavant is a leading data collaboration platform for healthcare. We are seeking experienced inpatient coders to join our remote team, bringing deep knowledge of medical terminology and coding standards to ensure accurate patient records and compliant reporting.

You will assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, oversee Level 1–2 coders, and drive documentation improvement while meeting productivity benchmarks and maintaining high accuracy. Remote, flexible schedule with training and support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience.
• Credentials such as CCS/RHIT/RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes from patient records.
• Audit and oversee Level 1 & 2 Coders' work.
• Champion documentation improvement and coding issue resolution.
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks.
• Communicate with colleagues, management, and hospital staff on clinical and reimbursement issues.
