Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking an experienced Inpatient Hospital Coder to join the Appeals & Denials Department in a remote capacity. The role requires coding inpatient accounts using ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4, with collaboration across CDI and HIM teams for accurate documentation.

The position demands 3–5 years of acute care coding experience, RHIT/RHIA/CCS credentials, and proficiency with EHR and encoder tools. Remote work is available for a select group of states.

Formación

• 3–5 years of acute care coding experience.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 coding.
• Able to mentor and train staff.
• Proficient in EHR and encoder software.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and assign codes for inpatient accounts per ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Verify and submit abstracted information to the billing system.
• Support CDI and HIM with coding documentation and audits.
• Work with minimal supervision to achieve coding and AR goals.
