Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. is hiring a Full-time Inpatient Hospital Coder for a remote role serving multiple approved states, including OR. The coder will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient accounts and ensure accurate submission in the billing system.

Required are 3–5 years of acute care coding experience, RHIT/RHIA or CCS credentials, and strong communication and time-management skills. Training and mentorship are provided to support coding accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in an acute care setting.
• 3–5 years coding knowledge.
• 3–5 years experience working in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assign diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Verify and submit abstracted information to the billing system.
• Advise and coordinate with Management, CDI and HIM on coding documentation.
• Work with ACHA, DNFB and Post Bill Error reports as applicable.
