Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Inpatient Hospital Coder to join the Appeals & Denials Department in a remote capacity. The role requires ensuring accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for inpatient accounts and coordination with CDI and HIM teams.

The candidate should have RHIT/RHIA/CCS credentials and 3–5 years of acute care coding experience, with proficiency in CPT-4 coding and EHR systems. Remote work is offered to eligible states.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• RHIT, RHIA and CCS certifications required.
• 3–5 years of acute care coding experience required.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 coding required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assign diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM/PCS for inpatient accounts.
• Submit abstracted information to the billing system for claim submission.
• Maintain coding accuracy to support A/R goals and denials management.
• Collaborate with CDI and HIM teams and mentor junior coders.
