Pena4 Inc is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder (CCS certified) for a 100% remote, full-time W2 role. Requires 5+ years IP PCS coding experience and CCS certification. IP/OP coding with proficiency in DRG assignments is essential.

The position uses Cerner, PowerChart, 3M and EPIC systems; start date is immediate, with a coding assessment test as part of consideration. Day shift, weekdays, full-time hours.

Formación

• 5+ years of inpatient PCS coding experience.
• 3+ years of outpatient coding experience (preferred).
• CCS certificate is required.

Responsabilidades

• Examine complete medical records to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence diagnoses and procedures accurately; target 95% accuracy.
• Aim for optimal DRG assignments with computer-assisted guidance.
• Maintain consistent performance and productivity with quality.
• Request additional information when needed to ensure accurate coding/DRG.
• Stay current with coding literature and guidelines; share updates with colleagues.
• Complete assignments as directed by management conscientiously.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
• Collaborate with team to meet department and client goals.
• Perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
