Pena4 Inc is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder (CCS certified) for a 100% remote role. The successful candidate will handle inpatient coding with IP PCS expertise and support outpatient coding when needed, ensuring accurate DRG assignments and compliance.

Requirements include at least 5 years IP PCS coding, 3 years OP preferred, CCS certification, and proficiency with Cerner, PowerChart, 3M, and EPIC. Start date is immediate; coding assessments will be required.

• 5+ years of IP PCS coding experience required.
• CCS certificate is required.
• Remote, 100% telework arrangement.

Responsabilidades

• Examine medical records to assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence diagnoses and procedures with high accuracy.
• Aim for optimal DRG assignments with computer support.
• Maintain steady productivity and coding quality.
• Request additional information when needed for accurate codes/DRG.
• Stay current with coding guidelines and share updates with colleagues.
• Complete assignments conscientiously as directed by management.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities.
• Collaborate with team to meet department/client goals.
• Perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
